Wagwan
May 6th, 2005We’re still here, alive and well in the carribean. My lungs are a little sore and Willa got freaked out yesterday while we were snorkelin’ (deep water), but other than that the trip is ridiculous. We sat down at a local bar/restaurant and talked with some friends that Willa met here last time she visited. They were some authentic Jamaican locals. Over the course of the lunch I met one guy names “Prime Minister”, one named “007″ and another guy named “Rubber Man”. Everyone has a crazy nickname (there are about 50 dudes who call themselves “The Farmer” and will take you to their fields) and they all have some special skill, it’s really funny. If you are not a social person, you will be after coming to Jamaica.
Well, I am blogging from Jamaica so I must be brief (life is rough). I will talk to you all real soon.
One Love! :-)
BTW - Wagwan is Jamaican patios for “What’s Up”.

That is awesome, what’s Rubber Man’s claim to fame?

Rubber Man can curl his body up into the shape of a crab and also do this really crazy “stomach twist” maneuver that looks like he is juggling his guts. He is a contortionist. Kind of like a “carni”.
