Birds of a Feather

October 28th, 2005

A new web browser, built off of the Firefox/Mozilla platform, is being developed by some crazy coder/internet visonaries somewhere and it’s called Flock. It has some way-cool features, especially for bloggers. In fact, I’m writing this post using Flock’s “Create a blog post” built-in tool.

Here is a excerpt from Flock’s Wiki (should “Wiki” be capitalized? I’m not sure), that I inserted into this post using “The Shelf” feature in the browser. If you want to know what that is, you’ll just have to download it and try it out!

Flock is the social browser, cross platform, open source, and based on Mozilla technologies. Flock includes such features as blogging tools, feed handling, and integrated del.icio.us favorites and Flickr photo sharing.

I have to say, there are some really cool ideas built into this browser, and it’s only in it’s infancy. Well done!

This worked super-well, except I couldn’t categorize my post. It was published under “General”, which is the default categorey. This is ok, but it would be nice to be able to choose your categories in the Flock Blog Post Editor…
