I have been under the influence of the work of architect Antoni Gaudi recently. He was known for organic designs that blended nature and religous-symbolism together to create very whimsical designs. Much of his work is adorned by colorful mosaics, which makes for very interesting subject matter. I am very intriged by patterns in art and architecture. Two prime examples of work that influenced this sketch are Park Guell (pic) and Casa Mila (pic). However, Sagrada Familia (pic) also deserves special mention.
