The Best Thing About Having Games on Your Cell Phone

January 11th, 2006

I came to a realization this morning. The best thing about having games on your cell phone is that you can play them while you are on the john. That’s right, if you haven’t realized this yet, you owe it to yourself to try it. Next time you have to go #2, try playing some Tetris or chess. Things seem to go really smoothly for me while I’m fitting together all those geometric shapes or plotting my next move. I think they will for you too.

If you are new to this though, a few tips may be in order. Puzzle and strategy games are well suited mates for dropping the kids off at the pool. They allow you to really take your mind off the task at hand and let nature take its course. Shooters and racing games can pose potential problems. Too much clicking on your cell phone buttons while trying to blast a bunch of alien creatures could freak out the dude in the stall next to you and draw a little to much attention to your activity (there are still those out there who frown upon this activity, but don’t let them deter you!). Also, and intense action game can cause the body to tense up and, well, I don’t think I have to explain why that would not be optimal for the real purpose of your visit to the porcelain throne.

I don’t think that playing an actual dedicated “portable gaming system” while taking a digger would be nearly as satisfying, but you could try it. You would just be trying to hard at that point I think. There is nothing quite like going into a stall at your workplace (where none of the requisite reading material is present) and realizing you have this little device with you with which you can take your time and enjoy yourself with. Peace, quiet, no interruptions, and you can do it without your pants on.

It’s a little slice of heaven.

What are those wireless controllers for? I think you need to open the bathroom door and both closet doors set a new extended “tuesday night ritual” and battle from the can.

Be careful with your phone or it might end up like this one: http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/the-cellphone-in-my-toilet-149025.php

One up it with downloading your favorites shows and watching them on the can. Hopefully you don’t slip grip on it and it manages to make it past the leg squeeze grab into the toilet. Might as well just flush it after that, our you’ll have residue water in the screen leaving it a slight yellowish tint.
