Still Very Messy

The “live” re-design goes into Phase II…

*Drumroll*

Here is the new design but there are lots of rough edges and tweaks and fixes and clean-up I have to do so don’t judge me on anything yet. Hell, I still have until May 1 to complete my reboot ok!

You could think of this as a “soft opening” with the “grand opening” a couple weeks away…

Some things I still need to do:

  1. Clean up my style sheet (it’s pretty messy)
  2. Finish all of the imagery (you may notice some totally unfinished imagery and other imagery that dosen’t look quite right…all in due time)
  3. Populate content (there is no about section yet, arrgh)
  4. Test on more browsers (so far seems to work ok on Firefox, Opera and IE6 all - PC only)

But the new design is in at least a decent enough shape that I can leave it up for good and continue on with my “live” redesign. It’s been quite a while in the making (a solid month up to this point with one more to go). I have felt like this many times over the past few weeks.

This final overall design ended-up being quite a bit different than my first sketches would have indicated. Mostly because of a desire to not let the design get in the way of the content and to keep things relatively simple. I’ll definitely get those sketches posted for the reboot to show the progression and talk more about the process and goals of my reboot when everything is finished.
