Not Quite the Same As Having Kids
June 25th, 2006However, we can now say we have 2 little girls at home. On Thursday, Willa and I adopted two 13 week-old kittens! We got them from Cat Tales Rescue (they were staying at a foster home), and they are litter mates.
Check out some pictures of them here.
They really enjoy playin’ with each other and are warming up to us quickly. Lola (the light one) is the instigator of their constant wrestling matches and races around the bedroom (were we are currently keeping them). They came litter-box trained with all their shots and tests and haven’t had any “accidents” yet (knock on wood). It’s super cool to have them around.
Willa and I are getting settled in our place now and are at a point where we can finally sign a sign of relief and just sit back and enjoy it (anyone want to go for a swim?).
Check out pics of the apartment here (added a bunch recently).
Check out a video tour here (right-click, “Save-As” to download).
Seattle has been so beautiful the past few weeks and we have been loving it. We can’t wait for more friends and family to visit! Now that things are getting back to normal AND I have a new easel I hope to posting some more artwork soon. Just be prepared for an overkill of water and aquatic themes.

Very cool place, I enjoy the video tour and I’m excited for the real thing this weekend. The kitties are super cute, except MV noticed that there are a lot of pics of the one kitty and very few of Naomi. Perhaps a fav kitty already? My mom likes to tell people that she has 1 grandchild and 3 grandkitties, since niether Ramon or I have kids.

Lola (the light one) is definitely the more social one and the attention hog of the two. Naomi is a shy girl and needs some special attention. ;-)

I am very disappointed that our names that we generated on philnick were tossed a side for the names the cats already had. When you have kids there better be a natalya, cortana, or dilla so something.
