Back to the Old Haunt

October 2nd, 2006

Willa and I took a trip back up to our old stomping grounds last weekend. It’s only been a few months (4 to be exact), and not much has changed. Bellingham is still the City of Subdued Excitement. Still very chill compared to the Seattle area, despite all the recent development.

Highlights included a visit with our old neighbor, a peculiar sand sculpture contest down by the bay, and some seriously golden grasses on the shoreline.

Just a quick jaunt up to old haunt for a night’s stay and a visit with the folks (Willa’s) and then we were out. Back to the hustle-and-bustle of Seattle.

Ahh yes, the Ham. The golden grass shots are cool. Definitely is the city of subdued excitement, maybe a suggestion for a city motto?

It already is (informally I think). Check this out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/edgeplot/14446393/

subdued excitement….that is a pretty good description. Bham was always a nice getaway for this cityrat……ahhh Inga, “what soft, sweet hands you have”
She was subdued excitement too now that I think about it…..
