A Coincidence Or Not?

October 27th, 2006

News was recently divulged that Stephen King would be publishing a short story called ‘Willa’ in the next issue of Playboy. Crazy, right?

This is freakin’ me out. Does Stephen King know something I don’t? Is he one of those god-awful psychic types? Should I be worried when I see ‘based on true events’ in his book jackets it, like, means Willa is going to turn into a psycho, break my legs and hold me in a snow-bound shack in the mountains (a la Misery)?

I’m not sure at this point. But make no mistake about it, I’m very suspicious after hearing this news. Whenever she puts food down in front of me I’m giving a little to the cats first to test it. Whenever she grabs a knife off the rack I grab one too. When we go to sleep at night, I pretend to drift off, yet stay alert and poised for the inevitable attack I know is coming.

If you don’t believe me, check out the news on King’s site and check out the new issue of Playboy. Just don’t be surprised when something “happens” to me…

Just checked the november issue and am not finding it. Med got the issue signed to “the boys at 47 west 75th” from the covergirl and centerfold. do I live in a frat house or what?

Anyways I think there is definitely a aspect of willa that could be a stephen king character especially when the quarter circle lights up on the white box by your television.

On another note, now that I work in a basement, live in a basement and take the subway to work, I have officially become a lower earth dweller. my life may soon mirror a fraggle rock episode….. there is a halloween suggestion for all you undecideds…..
