Recipe For A Cold

December 14th, 2006

I think I found the perfect recipe for a cold. At least, I was able to make a good cold from this, and I bet you can to. Ok, here it is:

  1. Four days without your significant other (in this case my wife) over a weekend
  2. One night playing video games until your head hurts
  3. One morning making a birthday card
  4. One afternoon shopping for Christmas gifts
  5. One night partying all night at a Christmas ball (in this case the Microsoft Christmas Party)
  6. One morning running a 5k race after all night partying (in this case the Jingle Bell run in Seattle)
  7. One afternoon drinking amazing beer and painting with friends

* Take note of the absence of sleep in this recipe. This is a deliberate omission and is essential for the recipe to come out properly!

Mix these ingredients together and let sit for two days. By the third day you should have a nice cold that will last at least two days (I am on day 2, we’ll see if it goes longer).

Hmmmm, I must give this a try, but #1 is fairly tricky to pull off, is there a substitution? I’ll have to modify the recipe a little, but must give this a try as I have sick time that needs to be used before year end.

I think you could narrow that down to just #5 and #6. That combo would destroy me.

Great…when is the next Microsoft Party and how do I get an invite…I’ll give it a shot.
