Happy New Year

January 2nd, 2007

I’m ready for 2007. 2006 was kind of a jumble. Not a bad jumble necessarily, just not as crisp and clean as I would have liked. There were quite few life-changing events that occurred in 2006. I like to keep those to “a couple” rather than “quite a few” per year, so that’s my new year’s resolution for 2007…Only “a couple” of life-changing events.

Here are some highlights from ‘06:

Willa and I celebrated our first year anniversary in Jamaica in April.

I migrated to the mothership, Microsoft, in June. This was also accompanied by a move down to Seattle, leaving behind the Bellinghamsters for the too-cool-for-school Seattle kids.

Willa and I adopted some kittens and have been paying the price ever since.

We lost our old car, but gained a new one before the year was out.

I started painting more regularly and have been loving it. Although the end of the year brought me a WACOM tablet (thanks Mom!), so my days of digital painting are just now dawning (soooo cool).

I am excited about the new year and hope to stick to my resolution. I will keep you posted on how it turns out. Here’s to a irie ‘07!

Hopefully you will have a more chill year, except it is already started with moving!
