Moving Madness

January 22nd, 2007

We have officially moved and are now living in a new residence as of yesterday. Although we only moved a block away, and we moved from a two-bedroom to another two-bedroom, it was certainly still a major pain in the ass.

As I stated in my last post, I am trying to limit my life changing events this year to a “couple” and this definitely counts towards that.

Now that the moving madness has ended, the unpacking and fitting madness is ensuing. here are some stats on the move:

  • Number of 200 lb TVs moved: 0 (just say no to tubes)
  • Number of big items moved needlessly: 1 (the futon got moved but is going away ASAP, sorry visitors!)
  • Number of miles put on the moving truck between 10am and 5pm: 5 (I told you our new place was close!)
  • Number of cats distressed by the move: 2
  • Number of Xbox hours lost as a result of the move: 22
  • Number of TiVo hours lost as a result of the move: none (it’s still plugged in and recording god knows what at our old residence)
  • Number of  cuts, scrapes and bruises aquired during the move: 7
  • Number of friends and family involved in helping us move: 5 (thanks guys!)
  • Preferred reliever of muscle pain after moving: champagne and tequila (not together!)

WOW is that the moving truck that you used?
That must be one big couch you got.

    LOL, hell no!

That truck was just for transporting my xbox gear yo.

Hold on! We moved that fricking futon for nothing… Horrible.

  4. nick Says:

Oh come on, you loved lugging that thing up the stairs.

At least it wasn’t a pukey mattress like someone I know has. Maybe you can find some solice in that fact.

  5. Sully Says:

Oh you mean the futon pad YOU puked on? Its going to the dump tonight. You want to come over and say goodbye?

  6. nick Says:

Hey there, I told you, Willa puked on that thing, not me. I swear!
