PhilNick Website (Original)

Completed in 2005

Weblogs have quickly become a staple on the web and are great vehicles for exploring design ideas. This project was purely design-focused and involved modifying an existing CSS, standards-based template with a new look-and-feel that reflected the personality of the blogger and maintained the standards of the original template.

I was responsible for the following elements:

  • Graphics/Imagery: I created original artwork which was scanned in and incorporated it into the layout and content.
  • CSS: I took the delivered style sheet and templates and extended them to fit the goals of the site.
  • Web Standards: I maintained the standards-compliance of the site while implementing design modifications and provide RSS feeds for postings and comments.

The PhilNick Weblog design project was a great opportunity to utilize physical artwork in a virtual space and incorporate everything together in a standard-compliant, easy-to-use website. I am looking forward to doing more custom, personalized sites for friends and family.
